The redesign of Boom and Megaboom emphasizes a footwear-inspired construction, using a bespoke technical fabric and oversized volume buttons to recreate the iconic cylinder.
The weave was redesigned to have a smooth yet robust hand-feel that is more capable of expressive two-tone colorways. To do this, the warp and weft needed unique chemistries that allows the fabric to accept two different dyes, all while maintaining a water/abrasion/drop proof build.
The overall size was also tuned to enable the speakers to float so they don’t get lost in water.
