Ember
Ember is on a mission to enhance the way we eat and drink by providing precise temperature control. Their first product, the Ember Mug, is a commuter mug that quickly cools scalding hot coffee or tea, to your preferred temperature.
Working across strategy, UX, and engineering, I lead industrial design process which focused on putting technology in the background. A subtle bottom dial allows the temperature to be adjusted, and the temperature is only displayed when the dial is in use. Rather than a charging cable, it has a coaster that allows the mug to be used for hours while staying charged.
